The 2022 Face Value announces its presence immediately in the glass—a brooding opaque core with a bloody , crimson rim. On the nose, intriguing notes of muddled strawberry, blackcurrant extract, raspberry and pluot are buttressed by savory hints of Herbs de Provence and licorice. The palate continues and builds upon the aromatics with ripe blackcurrant, damson plum, black fig and some tones of rhubarb and star anise on the mid. Chewy tannins round out the wine with a lengthy , bright finish and a touch of cocoa nibs .
