2022 Firebent

Firebent has been a name in our quiver for over twenty years, waiting for the right wine to pair with it. In 2022, we were enthralled with the Chardonnay coming from the Atlas Peak AVA of the Napa Valley, specifically from the Stagecoach and Antica Vineyards; typically, the grape doesn’t do well in Napa due to the warmer climate but the high elevation on Atlas Peak allows for the grape to thrive. Considering the wine is whole cluster pressed and then barrel fermented in fire-bent barrels (as opposed to water bent), we really had no choice on the name.
