2019 NAPA VALLEY CABERNET SAUVIGNON
An almost-black ink core with a neon brick rim sits in the glass. Powerful aromatics come from the glass: reduced strawberry, compote de cassis, blackened red peppers and a hint of chapparal and fresh split oak. The palate is equally forceful yet balanced with notes of brambly raspberry, ripe red plum, kirsch and a touch of black licorice. Rich and full bodied throughout, the wine closes with ripe tannins ala dark baking chocolate and sweet black tea.
