Donation Request - Orin Swift Cellars and Winery

Thank you for your interest in Orin Swift and our wine donations program.

Please help us get to know your organization by completing the online request form on this site.

DONATION GUIDELINES

Due to a high volume of requests, we can only respond to those that are within the criteria described, therefore please read our policies prior to submission to ensure your organization and event comply for consideration:

Provide a copy of your IRS Tax Exempt Non-Profit 501c3 status notice – must not be a 3rd party organization donating to another. We are happy to consider donating to the organization directly.
Copy of ABC day use permit for CA must be obtained, see paragraph in bold below.
We currently only consider requests from organizations and events based in or taking place in California only.
Must not be a religious, political, or school sports team/club and must adhere to our charitable org guidelines.
Requests must be submitted at least three months (90 days) before the event date.
Duplicate requests or requests submitted outside this online process will not be considered.
Quantities, brands, and varietals are subject to availability and are at our discretion.

Please allow sufficient time for your request to be reviewed and for the required alcohol license turnaround timing. Requests received that are not in compliance with the policies outlined here will automatically be declined.

SPECIAL EVENT PERMIT ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

Due to legal restrictions imposed by federal and state laws:
ALL California “fundraiser” events require a non-profit, day-use, alcohol permit to be obtained by the non-profit in order to receive any type of wine donation. This includes wine to be poured, wine tasting certificates and/or auction items, even if they are to be unopened at the event.

Additionally, Orin Swift cannot donate wine for fundraisers to restaurants, golf courses or other establishments which own their own permanent liquor license, unless the establishment “surrenders” its license for the area sanctioned for the event – allowing the nonprofit to obtain the mandatory day-use alcohol permit in their own name. No exceptions. CA non-profits that do not plan to obtain their own permit cannot be considered.
