WINEMAKER’S NOTES
Equinox 21 commands attention in the glass with its deep mauve core and crimson rim that swirls at glacial speed s. The opening aromatics draw one in closer with notes of blackcurrant, lamb tagine, seasoned leather, lilacs, fennel, cedar and reblochon rind. Decadent, hedonistic, coating and über plush, the palate is rife with hints of blackberry pie, more cassis, coffee cake and lingering licorice. Grippy at first, then softening in seconds, the tannins co -mingle with a finish of blueberry preserves.
