THE STORY
In 2016, we released the first ever 8-pack of Eight Years in the Desert— Orin Swift’s return to producing Zinfandel with a celebratory set of eight different hand-applied labels. Eventually those labels became tied to each successive vintage over the following eight years. But it always begged the question, “What happens next?”
The easy thing would have been to just pick our favorite and run with it. But, you know we never pick the easy way. So Dave Phinney designed eight entirely new labels, labels 9-16, introducing Edition 2 of Eight Years in the Desert to the world.
This limited edition collectible 8-pack features all eight new labels, a Reserve tier wine from the absolute pinnacle of winegrowing in the Napa Valley, a custom linen box and a surprise gift that ties directly to the story. Here’s to another Eight Years in the Desert.
THE FILM
This story began 8 years ago with a film. Edition 2 returns with another. Based on a short story by Dave Phinney, and shot under the Arizona sun, the film continues the anthology with a couple, a car, a cactus, and a questionable decision. Debuting in 2027.
