WINEMAKER’S NOTES
The 2024 Machete pours an opaque purple core with a neon, vibrant rim. As the wine swirls, aromatics begin to open with notes of blackberry compote, black plum, a striking minerality, slate and a touch of crème anglaise. Flooding the palate from entry to finish, the wine never lets up with a rich and decadent presence with tones of black plum, leather, charred meats and a bright vein of acid. Long on the finish, the wine closes with a set of drying tannins in its youth.
